Sparkmagic bears two elemental charges — metal and fire. Metal-charged magic is azoth, and fire-charged magic is mana.
In the cycle of arcana, bellowing air fans the striking spark of metal and ignites the flames of fire. Azoth takes on the flavor of the Spark domain as it begins its ascent in the cycle. Azoth becomes mana as air fuels the spark of striking metal.
Sparkmagic is an absorptive magic of infusion and indwelling. Its folk and its wielders understand azoth and mana through an innate sense of the mystic resonance between soul and body. Sparkfolk meld with dense inanimate matter intuitively, but human practitioners must learn methods of clergy, the harnessing of Sparkmagic by pious prayer and reverant ritual.
Wielding the power of infusion either by innate affinity or through clergy binds spirits and spiritual power to inanimate physical objects.
